I was at the rally in Hartford and was saddened by most of the speakers had to say, mainly that Republicans = Good, Democrats = Bad, like the Tea Parties of the past 2 years shouting cliche slogans such as "it's not your money" and "Taxed Enough Already" and so on. The expressions on the faces in the crowds seemed very vacant, as sharply dressed political hopefuls worked through the human maze passing out flyers and making their pitches. The Tea Party Patriots had a lot of action at their table and they seemed pretty well organized. Again, quite mainstream from the Tea Party I knew when the Ron Paul Revolution was gaining a lot of traction among many people in the 20 to about 45 age group and as you stated correctly, most were middle-age or older, less idealistic and more worried about getting there taxes raised than in changing the current crop of suits in the District of Criminals. Older folks are more likely to vote and those at the rally I'm quite sure are going to vote in another crop of slick-talking connivers. I'm quite sure the next-gen voters will be a tad more radical given the protracted recession and the tight job market. At least I hope they'll not be radicalizing others in long food lines at Walmart after the crash.

Hey sorry! We weren't going to avoid the explicit tag, we were trying to avoid mentioning a certain individual that took up way too much of the news cycle last week. Only the name was bleeped out. If you listen after the first bleep you'll hear Robin say 'CS.' With those initials I'm sure you'll be able to figure out just whose name was bleeped.

Please omit such harsh censoring beeps in the future; I can understand if you want to avoid an explicit tag in iTunes, but I found it incredibly frustrating to not hear an entire sentence, without enough context to guess as to what was being said.
Otherwise, I enjoy listening to this show every week; you guys make an excellent rational companion webcast to the "Gentlemen Without Agendas."

The Libyan Rebels got their heavy weapons from raiding army armories early on in the uprising. It's not surprising that some of the population can drive them as they're mostly old T-55s and such which haven't changed since most of the rebels grandfathers were in the army.

Also Robin, people don't take anarchists seriously because they tend to be childlike and sorry to say but most people seem to see anarchists as people who just never grew out of their teenage years. They have a terrible media presence, and Rage Against the Machine basically is the most exposure people tend to have to the movement. No one changes the world by throwing bricks through windows of a Starbucks, it just pisses off the people who work at that office and gives some window repairman a few extra bucks. In the end it's mostly just trivial bullshit but it makes a few people feel that they're really sticking it to the man while the man puts his bank account.

For now, I think the easiest way is that you can donate to the show (my PayPal account) and I will pass the funds onto Robin's super-secret cash-strapped hidey-hole. I will also make sure she sees your comment if she'd like to disclose it herself (if she hasn't already and I've forgotten)
